Gutted!

It's that time of the year again when I have to pay my website fees and it looks like petrol isn't the only thing going up these days.  So, after 7 years I'm going to have to hang up my .co.uk.  I don't get too much business from my website so it just isn't viable to keep it going.  I will now be relying on Facebook to show my wares and maybe update my Etsy and Folksy stores.  It's going to be quite alot of work to sort everything out but maybe it will work out for the best.  I'm going to have to update my business cards too.  I don't think it would look very professional if I have the email address and website crossed out and a new email address written above it in biro, lol.

On an up note I managed to get a picture on of a prototype clutch bag I've made.

Hi, it's been a very long time since I've updated this blog.  Things were very tough last year so all things creative and bloggy took a bit of a back seat, I'm hoping for a much happier 2011 (please, please, please).

I've been busy over the last couple of weeks making some new designs of hair slides and bobbles.  I am also working on a new range of bags, most of which will integrate some bead work.  I took one of my prototypes out last week end to give it a trial run.  If nothing else, I can expand my personal bag collection, a girl can never have too many bags, lol.  Hopefully I can get some photos on here soon.  Anyway that's pretty much it for now, until I can get my photos sorted and put the finishing touches to a couple more bags.

My husband must definately be trying to get into the good books, he's made this fab display case to use at the fairs and carnivals I have coming up.  I wonder if it has anything to do with the World Cup?

Well after a very stressful day yesterday my wonderful husband seems to have managed to fix the van so I should have no problems getting to Prescot Carnival on Saturday, yay.  I'm still very nervous though, it's very scary putting yourself out there for the first time.  Fingers crossed my trusty steed doesn't let me down again.  It's the ideal vehicle for something like this, it has running water, a toilet and a cooker for that all important cuppa if necessary.  Oh and if things get really slow I can get my head down in the back, hahaha!

I'm having a bit of a nightmare just now. My van (converted by dear hubby to a campervan) has conked out. We've not had it back from the garage very long, I was just getting used to driving the beast around and it's developed another problem! Arrrrrrgh! Aforementioned Hubby is now under a bit of pressure to try to fix it before Saturday so I can still have my table at Prescot Carnival. I could always trundle down the road with a folding table under my arm and dragging a big box of jewellery behind me, however, I'm not that keen on that scenario so fingers crossed my beloved can sort it for me.

On the upside I've been very busy making new stuff for my upcoming craft and sales events. It's all very new to me so I don't really know how much stuff to make. I may not sell a thing, I am trying to stay positive and hope that I'll sell a bundle. It would be fantastic if I could make enough money to develop my hobby further and keep making.

Another event booked, I'd really better get moving on making some stuff to sell and show. I'll be at Prescot Carnival, Brown's Field, Prescot, Merseyside on 19th June 2010. I'll have necklaces, bracelets, hair clips and accessories available to buy and order. Come along and have a look.
