My husband must definately be trying to get into the good books, he's made this fab display case to use at the fairs and carnivals I have coming up.  I wonder if it has anything to do with the World Cup?

Well after a very stressful day yesterday my wonderful husband seems to have managed to fix the van so I should have no problems getting to Prescot Carnival on Saturday, yay.  I'm still very nervous though, it's very scary putting yourself out there for the first time.  Fingers crossed my trusty steed doesn't let me down again.  It's the ideal vehicle for something like this, it has running water, a toilet and a cooker for that all important cuppa if necessary.  Oh and if things get really slow I can get my head down in the back, hahaha!

I'm having a bit of a nightmare just now. My van (converted by dear hubby to a campervan) has conked out. We've not had it back from the garage very long, I was just getting used to driving the beast around and it's developed another problem! Arrrrrrgh! Aforementioned Hubby is now under a bit of pressure to try to fix it before Saturday so I can still have my table at Prescot Carnival. I could always trundle down the road with a folding table under my arm and dragging a big box of jewellery behind me, however, I'm not that keen on that scenario so fingers crossed my beloved can sort it for me.

On the upside I've been very busy making new stuff for my upcoming craft and sales events. It's all very new to me so I don't really know how much stuff to make. I may not sell a thing, I am trying to stay positive and hope that I'll sell a bundle. It would be fantastic if I could make enough money to develop my hobby further and keep making.

Facebook | Table at Woolton Craft Fair

I've just decided to bite the bullet and go for a table at a local craft fair. It's my first go at this and I'm really nervous about it. I've been putting it off for ages I really need to get stuck in now and make some stuff so I've got stock to take with me. I've been pretty busy lately organising my daughter's baptisma and making bits and bobs for that.

Anyone in the Liverpool Area on 10th July 2010; I will be at Woolton Craft Fair, St James' Church Hall, Church Road South, Woolton, Liverpool L25 7RJ The Craft Fair coincides with Woolton Farmer's Market so hopefully there should be plenty there to see and buy.

Also in Woolton Village is the famous Scotch Beef Shop (my brother-in-law's shop) they were recently featured on Granada Reports with their All-in-one breakfast sausage, apparently it's great, being a veggie I wouldn't know, hee hee http://www.itv.com/granada/breakfast-bangers34414

New hair slide

Baptism Hair clip
Well it's been quite some time since my last post, the time just seems to be whizzing by.  I haven't done too much on my jewellery making and not really added a great deal to my inventory, which is a little dissapointing.  However, I have had a couple of little orders which is wonderful.  I hope my customers have been happy with my little creations.  I've certainly enjoyed making them.

My latest thing has been making some hair clips.  More out of necessity than anything else initially but now I'm getting quite into it.  I started making a little clip to match my daughter's baptism outfit and then while I had all the bits and bobs out I had a go at another one, now I'm looking for a little bit of time to fit in making a couple more as the first has been worn almost continually by both myself and my daughter.  Flowers are definately my inspiration of the moment.

Got some new beads in yesterday and I managed to make a couple of new necklaces.

I love these colourful beads, each bead has different depths of colour and then a swirl of gold.  No two are the same they're fab!

A very simple Green glass heart pendant on a brown waxed cotton thong.  And yes that is another one of those lovely swirly baroque beads.  I just love em!

Both of these are listed for sale in my Etsy shop (http://www.jewellerybyvik.etsy.com/) and on my website (http://www.originaljewellerybyviki.co.uk/)

Earring and pendant set I made on Tuesday.

Tuesday, 9 March 2010

I'm thinking that all the sunshine we've been having lately is working it's magic and giving me a bit of a much needed boost.  I've had such a mad day today, taking my little one and nephew to toddler group, visiting my sister-in-law and my mum, all on top of the usual stuff that needs to be done.  And then getting stuck into making a earring and necklace set for a customer.

Yesterday I also had time to make a couple of new items, little hair clips, in fact I like them so much I'm keeping them, hahahaha.  I'll never make a successful business like that.

I'll post photos of all my new bits when I get a min.

Sunday, 7 March 2010

Another busy day today, I got up before everyone else so I had a bit of time to try out a new design that had been spinning around my head all night. Then when that was all done and photographed for my online shops on etsy and my own website, it was time to get stuck in with some house cleaning. This sunshine we've been having lately has really started the spring cleaning bug round here.

Saturday, 6 March 2010

Well I've had a couple of hours to myself today, little one's spending some quality time with her nana. Nana's rule! So I've had a bit of time to work on a some new designs. I even managed to get a head band finished. I'm quite pleased with it, i've had the design in my head for a couple of weeks now and it was really nice to get the time to make it real. I think it could be used either as a prom or a wedding hair accessory. Any feedback would be great.

It is now available in my etsy shop.
